·       1. Sweater Pilling Is Not Entirely Your Fault (Or The Sweater's)

·       Pilling is a natural occurrence in cashmere and is usually caused by friction. A seat belt, purse strap, or even the synthetic lining of a jacket can all contribute. Use a cashmere comb, sweater stone, or other depiller to gently brush these unsightly fluffballs away.

·       2. Wash Cashmere With Your Shampoo

·       The care label may read “dry clean only,” but hand washing your cashmere sweater will actually make it softer over time. We recommend using baby shampoo, it works like a charm! Use lukewarm water, gently swirl your sweater, and let it soak for up to 30 minutes. To dry, place the cashmere in its original shape on a dry-clean towel. Gently roll up the garment and towel together. Do not wring or twist. On a separate dry towel, lay the cashmere down and smooth it back to its original shape again.

·       3. Always Fold Your Cashmere

·       Cashmere pieces are unlike other sweaters you have, hanging them in the closet will change their shape. When storing cashmere sweaters, always fold them and lay them flat in a wardrobe or dresser.
